My name is Lien and I moved to Yawatahama City from Vietnam two years ago. This part of Japan is known as one of the country's top mikan (mandarin orange) growing regions.

My favorite thing about living here is that you can drink mikan juice on tap, year-round! It's priced at only 400 yen per glass, and the type of mikan juice changes depending on the day. It's fun to compare different types and choose your favorite, and it’s amazing to see orange juice coming right out of a faucet!

Part of what makes this area famous for high quality citrus fruit is the growing environment – Yawatahama City is close to both sea and mountains, and bathed in sunlight.

It takes about 1 hour from Matsuyama Airport to the center of Yawatahama City by bus. We look forward to welcoming you!
